Barbara & Denny Kocher (and Jack too) Welcome You to

Barbara, Denny and Jack photo

Sadly, our beloved friend Jack had to be put down.  His age had caught up to him and his health was failing fast.  He is now with his other furry friends, but his memory lives on.

Cook Homestead was built in 1870 by the Honorable Andrew Cook, a prominent figure in the Cooksburg, Pennsylvania area.  Andrew Cook built his home with the river at its doorstep.  It was here that he and his men loaded logs on rafts and boats for the long journey to Pittsburgh.  He was most notably known as the lumberman who owned and developed much of the land known today as Cook Forest State Park.  Cook Homestead remained in the Cook family for 124 years until the Spring of 1994, when we were given the opportunity to purchase it from Andrew Cook's great-granddaughter.

We've added some personal touches and turned it into Cook Homestead Bed & Breakfast.  We hope you will come and share the warmth and charm of this marvelous old home with us.

Your stay at Cook Homestead Bed & Breakfast will be relaxing and peaceful whether you're sitting in the parlor enjoying a fire burning in the fireplace or sitting on the large porch enjoying the scenic view of the Clarion River winding its way through the forest.

We look forward to your sharing our lovely home as our Bed & Breakfast guests.
